On 10 January, Wissam el Yamni die from cardiac arrest occurred during of a police beating
in good standing during the night of New Year. Ten days later, at Aulnay, Abdel el Jabri
also succumbed to cardiac arrest after crossing the path of police. Two names in addition
to the long list of victims of police violence. If the historian Maurice Rajfus counting
nearly 200 deaths between 1977 and 2001, their number has since continued to increase:
---- Abou Bakari Tandia, Zyed Benna, Bouna Traoré, Reda Semmoudi, Yakou Sanogo Lamine
Dieng ... - Business and are very similar. ---- It is no longer acceptable to speak of
blunders when he is clear of assault and even murder which is racially motivated easy to
prove. The killings are in fact only the tip of the iceberg: in the shadows are discovered
daily humiliations controls racial profiling, police custody, the insults and the

Well, it appears that the tail has finally been pinned on the ‘Rehabilitation Revolution’
donkey with the publishing of the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Bill
and all the in-fighting surrounding what would and would not be included in its final
draft. And lo, it has come to pass that many of us have been right all along and the
so-called revolution has been nothing less than the reordering of deckchairs on the
penological Titanic. ---- So, far from being radical in any of the myriad senses of the
word, some that even a conservative can apparently lay claim to, it turned out to be
largely slanted towards increasing the lengths of sentences rather than as Clarke had
previously stated, cutting the numbers of prisoners. Having initially pledged that he
would slow the increase in prison numbers and cut the population by 3000 by the end of

Despite the opposition of the governing SInn Fein party, relatives of families of the
victims of Bloody Sunday and political supporters, including Irish anarchists, marched in
remembrance last Saturday. A report from the anarchists present and a background to the
issues behind those determined to continue the annual commemoration. ---- A few thousand
people took part in the 40th anniversary Bloody Sunday march demanding real truth and
justice after the publishing of the Saville report this year which confirmed that the
massacre was ’unjustifiable and unjustified.’ ---- This years march clearly divided the
families and relatives of the Bloody Sunday Trust with the majority deciding to end the
march with some pressure being concerted by Sinn Fein. Despite attempts by the political
class to co-opt and de-radicalise the march and brush it under the carpet as part of the

When anti-Wall Street protesters set out to take over Oakland's shuttered convention
center on Saturday, they left no doubt about the reception they expected. Scores concealed
their faces with bandanas, and dozens carried shields, some painted with anarchist
symbols. ---- What happened next -- a 10-hour street battle in which demonstrators and
police pelted each other with tear gas canisters, smoke grenades and other projectiles --
has intensified a debate within the Occupy Wall Street movement over what forms of
confrontation it should embrace. ---- Activists calling for greater equality in income and
tighter regulation of financial institutions have clashed with police across the country
since September, usually while advocating non-violence. But a series of conflicts with
police in Oakland have stood out as the most violent, with one activist, Iraq war veteran

Officials and profiteers of the crisis, it is not just the bankers who built a fortune on
financial hacks, these are all capitalists who do not stop to pay the employee-es to
increase their profits. We can not expose ourselves to agencies rating and stock market
speculators. We can not be content to harden the rules or moralize capitalism. The only
solution is to rid once and for all of the system based on exploitation and domination.
Refusing to submit to markets, refuse to pay debt A UMP as the PS, political elites
believe that the only way it out is to cut social spending, increase the retirement age to
retirement, to destroy public services and to bleed all employee-es to reassure lenders
and creditors. This is unbearable! If politicians have placed blind faith in financial
markets and if have chosen to increase the debt rather than raise taxes on wealthier they

In November, Beate Zchape, the third and last known member of the neo-Nazi extremist
group, National Socialist Underground (NSU), turned herself in to the German police. Two
others, Uwe Bohnhardt and Uwe Mundlos, were found dead, shot in the head. The authorities
claim that they had committed suicides. A fourth suspect, Holgar G, has been recently
arrested. The state, meanwhile, is feigning ‘shock’ over the ‘seriousness’ of the
‘right-wing terror network’. ---- The NSU have been active since the mid-1990s in Jena in
the state of Thuringia, and apparently went ‘underground’ in 1998, carrying out 10 murders
of mostly Turkish and Greek immigrants working in cafes and fast food shops, two nail bomb
attacks and 14 bank robberies. The killings were unsubtly named “kebab murders” or “donor
killings.” The NSU have been branded the Brown Army Faction – the colour in reference to

An Overview of Christian Anarchist Theory ---- By Nathan Jun, Midwestern State University,
WSA/TX ---- Alexandre Christoyannopoulosâ Christian Anarchism is a meticulously researched
but readily accessible survey of an often overlooked and frequently misunderstood
anarchist tradition. As he explains in the introduction, âAnarchism is not all there is to
Christianity. The point which some describe as the overlap of the two separate traditions,
however, seems to be precisely where others argue that Christianity logically leads to
some form of anarchismâ The aim of this book is to focus on this overlap, and therefore
solely on the anarchist political implications of Christianity. That is, this book focuses
solely on the view that Christianity implies a (peculiarly Christian) type of anarchismâ (7).

The Workers Solidarity Alliance stands in solidarity with all of the people brutalized,
kidnapped, and put in cages by the police in Oakland, California—and around the world—as
more and more people defy the sanctity of private property and capital and put human life
before the profit margins of the people who own and operate our world. --- On January 28,
2012, people from Oakland and beyond bravely attempted to take an abandoned building to
build a community center for living space, organizing infrastructure, medical facilities,
and so on. It is absurd that huge buildings lay empty while families live in the streets
and are denied basic access to shelter, food, and the necessities of human life. But such
is the logic of capitalism. ---- Police in Oakland, acting in the interests of the owners
of society, guarded this empty building by beating people, throwing flash grenades,

Interview with members of the AFA and initiatives not racism! responding to racist
demonstration in Sluknov. ---- Racist demonstrations and marches on Åluknovsko from late
summer and early autumn 2011, often grown with the assistance of active neo-Nazis in
something you can without exaggeration be described as nedokonanà attempted pogrom against
the local Roma minority. We were interested in how to respond to this situation, an
organization focused on the issue of fighting racism and fascism, which operate within a
broader anti-authoritarian movement. We asked why the two activists, a member of the
Antifascist Action (AFA) and Michal Pokorny of Initiative No. racism! (INR)---Antifascist
Action (AFA ) ---- 1) Agenda AFA at first glance appears to be primarily "anti-neo-Nazi."
To what extent is due to this agenda capable or willing to respond to events, as they were

The most recent issue of Existence magazine (1/2012), published by the Czechoslovak
Anarchist Federation (Äeskoslovenskà anarchstickà federace) includes an interview with
members of Anti-fascist Action (AntifaÅistickà akce - AFA) and the No to Racism!
Initiative (Initiativa Ne Rasismu! - INR) about the ongoing racist demonstrations in the
Åluknov foothills. The full interview is available (in Czech only) at
http://www.antifa.cz/content/spolecne-proti-anticiganismu-rozhovor-z-existence.-- The
interview was conducted with two activists, Michal Pokornà of INR and a member of AFA. The
editors of Existence say that "racist demonstrations and marches in the Åluknov region"
have been growing "since the end of the summer and the start of the fall in 2011 with the
assistance of active neo-Nazis into something which it is no exaggeration to call an

Day in and day out, year in and year out, the creeping transfer of the Israeli settler

colonialist outposts forced on it by the courts mascaraed of "justice" is balanced by

struggle initiated escalation of the activities of the core activists even before the

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) were forced to admit that spending on consultants is out of
control, as a freedom of information request revealed that the government military
department has paid out almost £600m in the last two years on consultants alone. The
document revealed the MoD spent £564m on “technical support”, in comparison to spending
just £6m on consultants in 2006. In total 380 private firms are now being paid to give the
MoD technical support and consultancy. ---- The reason for the obscene escalation in
spending was the introduction by the last Labour Government of The Framework Agreement for
Technical Support (FATs), a policy that allowed senior defence officials to hire private
companies without the required authorisation from government ministers. Added to this was
a complete lack of accountability within the government department itself, a leftover from

With government moves to outlaw squatting in residential buildings and the organisation of
activists into a movement of positive action against the criminalising of squatters, once
again radical social spaces is back on the agenda and the forefront of people’s political
activity. ---- Groups such as Squatters Action for Secure Homes (SQUASH) and Squatters
Network in Brighton (SNOB) along with the long established Advisory Service for Squatters
are all playing their part to ensure individuals retain the right to a safe home in empty
buildings. We will be looking at the implications of the new laws against squatters in
future editions of the paper, but for now we ask what is the future for autonomous social
spaces? ---- Social centres, simply defined are ‘radical independent social and community
centres’ and they have had something of a resurgence in recent times.

At approximately 3.50 pm on Sunday 29 January 2012, our comrade David Venegas Reyes was
arbitrarily arrested on the direct orders of Jesús Martínez Álvarez, Secretary General of
the Government of Oaxaca; this happened as he, along with other comrades, was accompanying
the caravan back to the Autonomous Municipality of San Juan Copala, led for over a year by
the displaced women. ---- Early information from this afternoon indicates that he was
arrested approximately 20 minutes away from San Juan Copala, and then taken away from the
area where the Displaced Caravan is. As we did not know where he was being taken, we began
to search for him. ---- At 5.50 pm, we presented ourselves at the State Attorney's Office,
specifically at the Sub Office of Preliminary Investigations for the State Government of
Oaxaca, where all information that could clarify the whereabouts of our friend was denied

... Beyond the propaganda forged in the great international media of an alleged "Iranian
threat" to the security of the international order, the fact is that the United States is,
by all means, trying to force actions more "out" by the Iranian government in order to
build more justification for a future invasion. The U.S. knows that economic sanctions
will never weaken regimes - whether dictatorial or not, that somehow opposed to accepting
a position of government patronage under U.S. domination. The weakening of a regime,
economic sanctions, in general, proved counter-productive. What ends up happening is
strengthening the system for more support that is receivable from the population or the
increased internal repression, which shall justify the repression of any opposition
movement on the grounds that these movements are supported by imperialist forces .

Monday February 20th has been designated as a “National Occupy Day in Support of
Prisoners” by the Occupy Oakland general assembly. In solidarity with the call from
Oakland, the Denver Anarchist Black Cross and members of Occupy Denver are calling for a
night time of action in Denver on February 20th. ---- Meet at 30th and Peoria, outside the
GEO ICE Detention Center Bring noisemakers, drums, banners, signs, candles, your friends
and families ---- All across the country, a spirit of liberatory struggle has taken hold
of the hearts of people from all walks of life. However, the struggle of the “99%” has up
until now excluded a major portion of the most marginalized and oppressed, the over 2.5
million people languishing in prison, jail, and ICE detention centers across the country.

3rd Anarchist Series of Gatherings happened at Etniko bandido Infoshop is quite a success.
Almost 20 people came to participate in this event from freelance artist to the volunteers
of Food Not Bombs and some close friends. Even some foreign visitors who are in the
Philippines for a holiday gave their time to witness this small but informative activity.
---- Some artist who made an 5"x7" inches artwork display their magnificent master pieces
on the wall of the space for public viewing so the people will have a chance for a free
look and appreciate art at its best. ---- A couple from Marinduque Indymedia Center gave a
workshop and present a film/documentation about their travel in three different side of
Asia such as Thailand, Indonesia and Japan as part of their ASIA INDY TEST Project.

The wave of occupations that has rolled around the world from Madison, Wisconsin to Tahrir
Square in Cairo, from the Spanish M15 movement and onward via Occupy Wall Street has been
deeply inspiring to us, and deeply challenging to the system we live under. While it is
reaction to a global, though particularly western, economic crisis we must give credit to
all those camping out for their commitment, for instigating the debate as to where we can
and want to go, and for breaking the deadening political stagnation of recent years. ----
So to make a critique of the Occupy movement at this moment, seems at first absurd. To
think five years ago that city centres across the globe would be occupied by hundreds of
thousands of people, would have been laughed off. Yet they are. And it is a fantastic. It
has created a space where capitalism, democracy and revolution are being openly discussed

Irish opposition politicians have called foul over Taoiseach Enda Kenny’s statement at
Davos that the blame for the crisis in Ireland is that “people went mad borrowing” a month
after he told the Irish people that “you are not to blame” in a national broadcast. But
their are far more interesting issues that explain why the same man can make both
statements without being aware of a contradiction than simple two-facedness.---Anarchists
are often accused of people about banging on about class too much. Yet Kenny’s two
statements are not necessarily contradictory if we understand that he had very different
people in mind as “people” in the two cases. ---- In the December broadcast to the nation,
the Taoiseach would have very much had in mind that he was addressing an audience that
would have been a substantial portion of the population of the country, and a
