January 19, St. Petersburg, an invitation to participate

January 19, 2009 were killed by anti-fascists - a lawyer Stanislav Markelov and journalist Anastasia Baburova. They were killed in the heart of Moscow in broad daylight, shot in the head. Two years have passed. Their alleged killers were found and are awaiting trial. But during this time the situation with the Nazi terror has only worsened. The level of hatred in society increases, and the discriminatory policies of the State extends.

In recent months we have seen the neo-Nazis planned and carried out mass protests and riots. It is quite clear that the forces which fought against Stanislav Markelov have this very relevant. It is a significant response by the authorities - on the one hand tightening repressive measures and threats, on the other - clearly expressed in words and in fact, supporting the neo-Nazis. The ruling elite once again play the nationalist card to distract people from injustice, lawlessness, and many economic problems. Must resist this!

On the second anniversary of the assassination of Markelov and Baburova in St. Petersburg will be action "Together against fascism."
We have a voice, have the right to enter the area and express their protest. This will not only share the memory of Stas Markelov Nasty Baburova and many others. January 19, 2011 will be the day of determination, the day to combat the threat of fascism. During the campaign will not be on duty the usual speeches and political symbols. Instead, all those who came will see the audio-visual installation.
Hence continue to struggle to remember!

The action will take place at Trinity Square, Jan. 19, beginning at 18.00.
