Synopsis
Thousands of Russians have been resisting the invasion of Ukraine. During the first month of anti-war protests, 15,000 people were detained. Small street actions still occur sporadically, although they are heavily persecuted. More than 300 people have been imprisoned for anti-war activities, including six anarchists and antifascists.
What are the current anti-war initiatives in Russia worth following? How can the Russian anti-war movement — operating under increasingly repressive conditions — be supported? Why has the movement so far failed to influence the course of the war? Who are the current anarchist and antifascist prisoners in Russia, and how can they be supported?
