Ilan's comment is a depressing example of the logical contortions people will perform to avoid having to acknowledge reality and ironically the entire statement by Russian-speaking anarchists is already a response to his by-the-numbers dogmatic pacifist moralism. People in Ukraine, primarily the working class, are literally defending their lives from an imperialist invader - they don't need vapid, self-righteous posturing from people half way around the world, they need active solidarity. This is a very old debate, going right back to Kropotkin, Malatesta and WW1, and it's a shame anarchists are still having it. It should be obvious that we can detest war, states, etc., and still understand and support anarchists in Ukraine taking up arms to fight against subjugation.
