Report on the evacuation fundraiser

After announcing the fundraiser to support the evacuation of persecuted comrades from Russia, ABC-Moscow received donations totaling approximately €2,000 (not including transfers intended for specific persecuted individuals). We thank everyone who took part in the fundraiser in any way!

As we wrote earlier, during the first half of 2025 we carried out three evacuations, spending around €3,000 on them. Of the €2,000 raised, half had to be used to cover debts that we were forced to incur. The remaining €1,000 will stay in the fund that we use for emergency evacuations from Russia.

In the current conditions, it is extremely important to have the ability to urgently evacuate a person from Russia. Too many of our comrades are already imprisoned in Russia, so if someone is under threat of arrest but still has the opportunity to leave, they must take it.

Evacuation is expensive. Paying for transportation that does not require purchasing a ticket in one’s own name in Russia; temporary housing; complex routes out of Russia to a safe country — all of this requires money.

At the same time, evacuation preserves freedom. Evacuated comrades can continue anarchist and antifascist struggle in exile.
