Helsinki Anarchist Black Cross and A-ryhmä will organize
a prisoner support kitchen on Sunday 20.3. in Kupoli!
(Mannerheimintie 5b, 7th floor)
We will watch a film called Papillon, that is based on an autobiographical
book by an anarchist Henri Carriere; A prisoner called Papillon (1970).
A small description of the film:
Henri Carriere (Steve McQueen) is wrongly convicted of murdering a pimp.
He is sentenced to life imprisonment within the penal system in French Guiana on the 30´s.
En route, he meets a fellow convict, Louis Dega (Dustin Hoffman), convicted of forgering
and Dega hires him as his bodyguard. The two eventually develop a friendship.
Henri Carriere managed to escape the prison on his second attempt.
Duration: 150min. Audio in English with Finnish subtitles.
The doors open at 15.30 and food is served at 16.00.
We´ll start with the film after the 16.30.
