The Father Frost against Putin Festival in Helsinki is coming up on January 10–12, 2025!

Дед Мороз Против Путина 2025

We welcome activists, curious minds, and politically engaged people from around the world!

Our main task is to promote the organization of a mass movement for change in Russia. Only by creating it can we hope to dismantle Putin's authoritarian oligarchic regime, to develop a peaceful Russia. It is also important for us to create stable ties between Russian political emigration from different countries and solidarity. We advocate the end of Putin's military aggression against Ukraine, for peace between nations.

Our festival offers:

  • inspiring talks and workshops,
  • unique cultural experiences,
  • networking and new friendships,
  • a space for fresh ideas and social impact.

Here’s a preview of some highlights:

  1. January 10: A live concert by Rosemary Loves Blackberry with a brand-new set (featuring Diana Burkot from Pussy Riot).
  2. January 11: A discussion on expanding support for political prisoners, inspired by the "Vegan-Peredachki" project.
  3. January 12: Presentation of the book "Feminist Solutions to End the War."

And that’s just the beginning — each day will be filled with events that inspire, inform, and energize. Join us to discover new perspectives and connect with people who care about making a difference.

As we get closer to the date, we’ll share the full program.

The event will be in Russian and English, with simultaneous translation available.

Vegan lunches will be provided on January 11 and 12, so everyone can enjoy inclusive meals together.

First 20-30 registered guests will be provided a place to stay overnight on a mattress in Helsinki area for the nights between Friday and Sunday, in a place which will be announced at the place (bed linen and sleeping bags will not be offered). You do not have to register in case you do not need a place to stay. The rest have to book hotels from themselves.

Events of the festival will take place in Lepakkomies, Oranssi and Ulrika.

Anarchist group ANA Regensburg hosted my online-presentation on 16th of May 2024, in which I discussed tactics of anti-war activism in Russia, and reasons why the anti-war movement has not been able to make an impact to change the course of events yet. Cases of anarchists repressed for anti-war...
