SU‭N ‬10.5.‭Disturbances-lecture:‭ How life will be changed, or The life and visions of Arthur Rimbaud

Due to popularity lecture has been moved from Kupoli to Mannerheim-hall of Uusi Ylioppilastalo, A-entrance 5th floor. Unfortunately no lift available. Budget vegan food served at 4pm, the lecture starts at ‬4.30pm.

10th of May Disturbances-lecture will be about the cutest teenage rebel of world literature, radical esthetic and queer-icon Arthur Rimbaud, who took part in Paris Commune, used too much drugs and wrote sparkling verse, finished his career as poet in the age of 21 and sold arms in Africa in the latter part of his life, died and is now celebrated as a cult poet. Lecture will go through Rimbaud’s life and work from the point of view of anarchist revolution and answer to the question: how life will be changed?

Lecture will be streamed to youtube this time, but only in Finnish:

Lecture on facebook:

Disturbances is an open series of lectures and discussions at the crossroads of society, philosophy, history, economy and resistance. We are already aware that we can not live as before, but we do not know what the future holds. Others are stuck in the past, but we only want to understand it. Even a small disturbance of an initial condition can lead a system into a completely different state.

Our speakers are Finnish and international anti-authoritarian researchers and activists. All the lectures can be streamed live and afterwards from A-ryhmä's channel on Bambuser  Events are organized by AutOp, a student group of the University of Helsinki. Our program is created by the participants themselves, if you want to join or simply get in contact, write .

Children are welcome by default! We have now also a separate room from 4pm to 6pm in case children get tired of lecture.
