Anarchist Ruslan Siddiqui, accused of rail line disruption and drone attack on a military airport in Ryazan Oblast, was transferred from SIZO “Kapotnya” at the outskirts of Moscow to “Matrosskaya Tishina”. As the antiwar human rights initiative “Solidarity zone” writes, Siddiqui himself informed a friend in a letter about the transfer.
New address for letters and parcels:
107996, Moscow, st. Matrosskaya Tishina, d. 18, SIZO-1, Siddiqui Ruslan Kasemovich born 1988.
A reminder that Ruslan was arrested at the end of November on the suspicion of organizing the derailment of a freight train in Ryazan oblast.
The derailment occurred on the 11th of November on the 190th kilometer of Moscow’s railroad at the section of Rybnoe- Blockpost 204km stations. “Kommersant” shared details of the sabotage action: “As a result of detonation of improvised explosive devices (two explosive devices - each equivalent to 3 kg. TNT - were placed at a 10 m. distance from each other on the main line for freight trains), 300 m. of railroad track was damaged, a crater was formed at the blast site, while 19 first wagons of the cargo train number 2018 fell into a ditch. The blast blew out the windows in the driver’s cabin. He himself suffered minor injuries”.
The security forces also said that Siddiqui is involved in the attack on a military airport in Ryazan oblast, that occurred on 20th of July. Then, four quadcopters equipped with explosives flew into the territory of Dyagilevo airbase.
Currently, Ruslan is charged under the articles “terrorist act” and “possession of explosives”. Based on those articles he is facing 12 to 30 years of imprisonment.
Ruslan’s comrades contacted “Solidarity Zone”. Here’s what they are saying about him: “Ruslan is a man of action” – that’s how one of our mutual comrades spoke of him. And indeed, without a second thought he carries out complex daily tasks, he is a fast learner, masters useful skills. With friends he is always responsive, always ready to help. He really loves extreme hiking, bike marathons, has visited several times Chernobyl and Belarusian exclusion zones.
He is a supporter of anarchist ideas and he painfully experienced the Russian aggression in Ukraine. Not to mention that he has lost friends, while people continue to die in this conflict. Currently, he himself became a victim of state violence and he needs support.”
