Students of the European Humanities University and the Youth Initiative StudAlliance announced an indefinite campaign of solidarity with the student at YSU Nicholas Dedkov, which is already two and a half months is held in custody. About this BelaPAN reported in the press service StudAlliance.

Recall Dzyadok was arrested Sept. 3 on suspicion of assault on the Russian Embassy in Minsk, but on Oct. 1 he was accused of involvement in the campaign about the General Staff of the Ministry of Defence against the Belarusian-Russian military exercises "West 2009" last year. The young man has been charged with a crime set forth in Part 2 of Article 339 of the Criminal Code (hooliganism committed by a group of persons). First he was in the Minsk detention center, and on September 24 he was transferred to jail where he awaits trial. During this time, for some unknown reason Dzyadok was transferred for one day in Zhodino jail, and then again returned to Minsk.

According to the press service, YSU students sent an open letter to media outlets to submit a request to the Prosecutor General of Belarus and the Belarusian ambassador in Lithuania, but received no response from the official authorities of Belarus. It was therefore decided to organize a solidarity action with the perpetual Dedkov to its full release.
