On April 10th, anarchist Ilya Shakursky celebrates his birthday. He turns 29, 7.5 of which he has already spent in prison. Ilya is one of the defendants in the “Network case”, in which the FSB fabricated an entire terrorist organization just to earn stars on their epaulets. In 2020, a Putin-controlled court sentenced Shakursky to 16 years in a high-security penal colony.

Andrey Chernov is an anarchist, antifascist, and vegan. Before his arrest, he lived in Penza. He participated in the Food Not Bombs, organized free markets, and took part in the No surrender anti-fascist mixed martial arts tournament.

On Saturday, March 15, in Stockholm will host a public meeting focused on libertarian protest activities in modern Russia. There will be two talks:

1. The past and the present of Autonomous Action: an affinity group, an anarchist organization, a media collective. What's next? (presented by Artem)

2. Ethnic minority resistance in Russia (presented by Kira)

The presentations will be in English.

On May 25 we invite you to the 'Solidarity zone' event in Leipzig (13.00, gallery Jochen Hempel, Spinnereistraße 7) in support of political prisoners in Russia. It will be held in the framework of the exhibition 'freedom is a verb' by Alla Gutnikova.

In Father Frost against Putin -festival, Helsinki 13th of January 2023 7:30 at Oranssi (Kaasutehtaankatu 1, building 11). 

We will screen the movie about participants of anti-fascist and anarchist groups during the anti-Putin protests of 2011-2012.

Festival program is now published. 

Father Frost against Putin -festival was organised first time 10 years ago. From 2014 to 2020 festival was organised seven times, and Russian grassroots organisations told about their activities and networked between each other. 

Tomorrow, December 2 at 17.00 in Berlin (Kadterschmiede, RIGAER STRASSE 94) will start a first presentation about Ilya Shakursky. Ilya is a Russian political prisoner, participant of the Network Case, anarchist, anti-fascist and eco-activist. On February 10, 2020, he was sentenced to 16 years in a maximum security facility and also to a fine of 50,000 rubles. The investigation believes that he was the organizer of the “Network terrorist cell”. Ilya pleaded not guilty in court.

On November 25 and 26, the Anarchist Book Fair is taking place in Amsterdam (Plantage Doklaan 8-12); in addition to books, various horizontal groups will give presentations and workshops on these days.

Anti-War Human Rights Initiative Solidarity zone will take a table at the fair, where you can buy T-shirts, scarves, posters, badges and other merch.

In memory of anarchist from Moscow Dmitry Petrov, who gone in fights against Russia’s Invasion in Ukraine.

On October 9 at 20.30 will be shown a documentary film about participants of anti-fascist and anarchist groups during the anti-Putin protests of 2011-2012.

An event in support of Russian political prisoners will be held in Helsinki on October 6.

We publish call for International Week of Solidarity with Anarchist Prisoners 2023 // 23 – 30 August:

The support team of the arrested guys in the «Tyumen case» is launching a Festival of solidarity with political prisoners on the occasion of the anniversary of the arrest of our comrades. The festival will be held from August 15 to September 15, 2023.

On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the first anti-authoritarian international, international meetings are being prepared in the Swiss Jura mountains. They will take place from July 19 to 23, 2023.

As part of the gathering, we would like to announce two events, organised by Autonomous Action and Anarchist Black Cross – Moscow.

Supporting anarchist and anti-war prisoners in Russia

On the night of October 11, 2022, fire was set to the administration office of the town of Bakal in Chelyabinsk region with Molotov cocktails. The building housed a military registration office.

On the same day, Roman Nasryev and Alexey Nuriev were detained on suspicion of arson. At first they were accused of "destruction or damage to property", but the FSB took over the case and the charges were reclassified to "terrorist act". Later an article on "training for the purpose of terrorist activity" was added to the charges.
