Interview with a representative of the fan group XanthiFans

Again we return to Greece. This time we will focus on the region of Thrace, which is on the east of the country. Xanthi town is one of the largest in the area, and the football club of the same name because of its achievements is often called the "Queen of Thrace". Fan movement FC Xanthi takes pride of place among the local Greek ultras scene. The city is multiethnic and no problems in this regard in the stands does not arise, Nazis are here despise everything. Our friend and supporter of FC Xanthi agreed to answer a few questions.

Interview with a representative fan group Panthers (Panionios, Nea Smyrna)

  Again we return to Athens. Panionios is considered quite a serious team in the scale of Greece and has a very impressive fan base. However, with all of this club is very difficult to compete in popularity with three Athenian giants. Nevertheless Panionios trying to compete with them and has long established itself as the fourth team of the Greek capital. His Panthers fan movement is one of the top in the country and has repeatedly stated his anti-fascist positions.

 

- What's your name? How long you support Panionios?

Fanzine "Leva Tribina" (Serbia)

The idea of creating zina "Leva tribina" appeared a few months ago and we are currently implement this project. Was initiated by the people of a small, informal, non-hierarchical Militant anti-fascist groups from Nis (city in south-eastern Serbia).  Fanzine is a continuation of the same name of the blog, which was created six months ago. As the name implies fanzine (and blog) cover the activities of left-wing and anti-fascist groups of fans, mainly from the sphere of football.

St. Pauli Polish Supporters

We are John Marten's Crew – the only official Sankt Pauli fanclub in Poland. Name of Our Crew, derived from John Kuna who was a Polish pirate. John Kuna is a a the hero of the novel written by Janusz Meissner.

Brigada 97 (Deportivo Guadalajara)

RFC Lions Ska

“RFC Lions Ska Football Club” was born in Caserta (Italy) in 2011, from an idea of a group of boys and girls sharing the passion for sport and ska music. It is not just about a ‘normal’ football team, but it is a free association of people, open to everybody who agrees on the principles of the project (both in- and outside the field): to carry forward a different understanding of what football should be, open and accessible for everybody, grounded on the values of antiracism and pursuing the eradication of every kind of discrimination.

The history of fan movement Super 3 (Aris Thessaloniki)

Aris Thessaloniki was founded in 1914 in Votsi an area close to the historical centre of Thessaloniki.  Aris is considered up to now and despite the tough economic situations that, beyond others,  lead the football club in the 2nd division this past year, one of the most successful teams in Greece, as it counts numerous titles in every sport (4th in that list , coming after Olimpiakos , Panathinaikos and AEK).

Interview with a member of fan group Red Boys (Paniliakos, Pyrgos)

Once again, we had an interview with a representative of the Greek fan scene. This time we will focus on the Peloponnese and the small town of Pyrgos in particular. This area is known for its rich history in the ancient period, but about local fan movement is not so much information. Therefore we decided to fill this gap and talked to anti-fascists fan Paniliakos. Interview with a member of the fan club Gate 4 (PAOK Thessaloniki)

This time we interviewed a fan of one of the most famous teams in Greece. Two-headed eagles Thessaloniki  are one of the symbols of the city, along with the White Tower. This team was created by migrants from Turkey, people affected by genocide and nationalism. PAOK fans are known throughout Europe as one of the craziest, and the stadium in Tumba Derby Day turns into hell. Ladies and gentlemen, today we will focus on the black-and-white heart of Macedonia, the legendary club PAOK Thessaloniki.

 

Interview with a member of fan club Front Commun Montreal (Montreal Impact FC, ​​Canada)

North America is a region where football and fans culture  hardly developed. Sport in this region is very commercialized and turned into a passive contemplation of what is happening on the field. Football never here more profitable and therefore poorly developed .If you know about Mexican ultras lot of fan communities that the U.S. and Canada there is very little information. While still on hearing some group of fans of teams from Portland, Washington, Houston. Canada is popular for being the birthplace of hockey, however, and began to appear groups of football fans.

Interview with Greek fan club Blue Angels (Niki Volos)

Continue acquainted with Greek fans antifascist. We interviewed fans of football club Niki Volos. This city is an important transport hub and one of the largest in the country. Niki Volos has the status of the second team after their eternal rival Olympiakos.

 

 

 

- Tell us about your fan-club. How many of your fans?

- In our fan club we have now about 150 fans. In our team we have 3 clubs. There is firm Blue Club and fan in Thessaloniki. But only our club is more close to the antifa idea.
