Bring to your attention an interview with a member of one of the most famous and influential fan associations in Greece. Multiple champion Greece and member of European club Panathinaikos needs no introduction, and his fans known far beyond the country. Athens had once been known as the cradle of Greek culture and the birthplace of democracy. Now this metropolis known as political protests and football fights. And here it will be one of the protagonists of such confrontations Gate 13.

Athens many known as the center of European protest, where anti-fascists and anarchists are a major political force. Even the word "anarchy" is of Greek origin. Greece is also very popular football, and formed many fans' groups supporting anti-fascist ideas. Here we will talk about one of the projects of the left movement in Athens, aimed at forming a new football culture without the influence of nationalists and big capital.

For the 24th to 28th of april 2014 the 3rd “good night macho pride” anarcha-feminist gathering is announced to take place in kiev, ukraine.

At the gathering will be theoretical and practical discussions related to anarchist and feminist topics such as relations and way of talking in groups, how to deal with insultings, consciousness of sexist behaviour and preventation against burnout. Beneath that it is a good option to get in touch with other anarcha-feminist groups and activists.

Anarchists, organizers of demonstration "Against the war in Ukraine" in Petrozavodsk, Russia were kidnapped and seriously injured by unknown people in masks.

On 9th of March, along with the traditional Food Not Bombs action, demonstration "Against the war in Ukraine" supposed to happen in Petrozavodsk, for a peaceful solution of tense situation there and prevention of bloodshed continuation.

Present to your attention an interview with a representative of Greece ultras. Here we will focus on the team from a simple provincial town of Serres.

- What the standings at Panserraikos this season? How many people keep coming to the games?

- Panserraikos has a bad season until now, but we are still in the middle of the season. We are 11th in points and there are 21 teams in the second division of Greek Football. In our ground we have about 2.000-3.000 fans in every game. In one game we had about 4.500.

Saint Petersburg: An artist and an anarchist have been discharged

Dzerzhinsky district court of Petersburg has freed from charge artist Petr Pavlenskyi and anarchist Yaroslav Gradil. They were charged with disorderly conduct for their "Freedom" performance at Malyi Konyushennyi bridge. The message has came from Interfax with the link to activists lawyer Dinar Idrisov. Both have been freed from custody.
According to Administrative Offences Code article 20.1, they were faced up to 15 days of arrest.

A solidarity action for Bolotnaya prisoners in Helsinki

We went and dropped two banners as a protest against treatment of Bolotnaya square demonstrators.

A sentence for Bolotnaya case is expected next monday, 24rd of December.

Our action was also in solidarity for all political prisoners.

31st of January A-ryhmä and Anarchist Black Cross of Helsinki organised a support concert Helsinki, with Jyrki Nissinen & Isotissinen, Euro Crack, Bunny and Max Peezay from Sweden.

In end of the event, a support photo was taken for Joel, who is imprisoned in Sweden for defending anti-racist demonstration in Kärrtorp of Stockholm last December.

Kaunas antifascists call for a protest against the LTJS march

On February 16, Lithuanian Nationalist Youth Union (LTJS – Lietuvių Tautinio Jaunimo Sąjunga) will organise the traditional march in Kaunas: once again, guised under Lithuanian flags, they will propagate xenophobic, racist, homophobic and sexist ideas. The crew of antifa.lt calls for all who see inherent fascism in the famous slogan "Lithuania for Lithuanians" to join the anti-march protest. Antifascists and their friends are to gather by Miesto sodas (opposite the municipality) at 3 PM.

Interview with anarchist prisoners in the so-called "Bolotnaya Case", former sailor Alexei Polikhovich, 22 (pictured), and historian Stepan Zimin, 21. They are amongst the many people charged with participation in the May 6, 2012 clashes with police during an opposition rally in Moscow's Bolotnaya Square. Both face a sentence of five-and-a-half year in penal colony, having spent over a year in pre-trial detention.

The laws which were passed on January 16th showed that the faction of the ruling class which now controls the government is ready to install a reactionary bourgeois dictatorship on the model of the Latin American regimes of the 1970s. On Friday 10th of January Basmanniy district court of Moscow ceased criminal case against Alexey Olesinov, Alexey Sutuga, Alyon Volikov and Babken Guskasyan. All four were accused of “hooliganism”, a criminal offense which is included in the amnesty bill, approved as a PR stunt on initiative of Vladimir Putin himself in advent of the Sochi Winter Olympics – most known amnestied political prisoners being 30 detainees of the Arctic Sunrise ship of Greenpeace, and two imprisoned members of Pussy Riot.

On anarchism and violence

Some claim, that anarchism opposes violence, as for anarchists means and ends meet. But only second statement is correct, wherease first is not. This because in anarchism violence is not only means, but in a certain sense a goal in itself.

With this, I do not mean childish boasting about hanging last bourgeois to guts of last priest or anything like that. Destruction of class enemies as individuals is not a revolutionary goal. As Kropotkin wrote, one may hardly avoid some excesses from side of most angered people, but obviously it is goal of anarchists to minimise them.

Varshavsky Warehouse Squat Case: St Petersburg Anarchist Black Cross statement on criminal charges against Denis Levkin

Denis Levkin has been imprisoned since February 2013. He was detained when the police stormed the squatted warehouse near the former Varshavsky Station in St Petersburg, Russia, and charged under article 318 part 2 of the Russian Criminal Code (use of violence dangerous for health or life against an officer). St Petersburg anarchists have taken an active part in occupation and defence of the warehouse, and the St Petersburg Anarchist Black Cross cannot ignore the trial in Levkin's case, which is now under way.
