Since the beginning of September 2010 the social activists in Belarus face with unprecedented pressure. After the attempt of the arson at the Russian Embassy on the night of August 31, 2010 and the start of the presidential campaign, around hundred of social activists from different cities (Grodno, Brest, Gomiel, Minsk and Soligorsk) have passed through ‘talks’, interrogations at the KGB, house-raids and arrests, some of them are still detained. T

Goal of repressions is to isolate its targets from the remaining movement.  Thus it is very important to support contact with arrested comrades - even if you did not knew them personally, letters may raise spirits in difficult times of  imprisonement.

    Jock Palfreeman is a 23 year old Australian who had the courage to stand up against 16 Nazis on a night out in Sofia, Bulgaria. He witnessed the fascists chasing and attacking two young Roma boys. Jock ran to the boys' aid, he did his best to keep the Nazis at bay by waving a knife at them but they attacked him. Jock was left with nowhere to run and had no choice but to defend himself. Andrey Monov, one of the Nazis, was stabbed and killed and another, Antoan Zahariev was injured. The Roma boys ran away.

    Jock has since been tried and sentenced for murder and attempted murder. He has been sentenced to 20 years imprisonment and has been fined 375,000 Australian dollars.

According to information distributed by the Campaign for freedom to  Khimki hostages , October 8, a panel of judges of the Moscow regional court, chaired by Dmitry Bobkov partially upheld the complaint lawyer Maxim Solopova Yuri Eronina and annulled the decision of Khimki city court to extend the detention of Maxim Solopova until November 29, 2010. Khimki city the court must in time until October 20 to re-consider whether the content Solopova custody.

October 4, 2010 coincided 2 dates: 53 years ago was launched into space the first artificial satellite, 2, 5 years ago, employees of the Moscow police department Sokolniki attacked a group of non-formals. 7 of them were detained and beaten in the department. One of the battered, Seva Ostapova, Transfiguration inter-district court awarded one year suspended for alleged attack on a policeman's Sokolniki. While 20 witnesses for the defense argued that it was exactly the opposite.

Anarchist and animal rights activist from Russia, Pavel Delidon was released from prison 27th of September, after doing 3.5 years in prison for an attempt to gather back wages his former boss owned him.

No Pasaran!

Sept. 24 officers law enforcement bodies have detained me on suspicion of assault on ITT Akrestin. After three days I was again perearestovali, not letting go even beyond the walls of prison. At this time, were indicted for an attack on the House of Trade Unions. Both of these cases were instituted without any direct evidence. In both protocols, the detention was said that I had been detained "on direct suspicion." As I understand from the conduct of investigators - such as the immediate suspicion may arise in respect of any citizen of our country.

This morning (Monday 27th of September) the court in Khimki extended the police custody of Alexei Gaskarov for another two months. The web site of the Russian edition of Newsweek has the details (our comments are in square brackets):

"Anarchist Black Cross, Peter (the APC-Peter) - St. Petersburg is a collective of activists engaged in support and protection of people who have been penalized in connection with their anarchistic, anti-authoritarian and anti-fascist activities. Support includes a wide range of actions, including moral, informational and material assistance to victims of repression.

On the night of 19 to 20 September, Penza anarchists organized an action of solidarity with Alexey and Maxim. Activist was raskleyano 200 leaflets in busy parts of the city. In the most prominent places were marked inscription "Freedom Khimki hostages", "Plant trees, not activists and many others with links to sites www.avtonom.org and khimkibattle.org

Yesterday, 20.09 Kharkov held rally in support of arrested Alexis Gaskarova and Maxim Solopova. Indifferent to this problem anarchists, anti-fascists, OMovtsy and members of the Autonomous Actions picketed Consulate General of Russia in the street Olminskogo. Picket was held in the framework of international days of action in support of Alexey and Maxim. Speakers condemned the repressive actions of corrupt Russian officials and demanded the release of anti-fascists, against whom criminal cases are fabricated.

In Kazan action of solidarity with "Khimki hostages. These days, we decided to inform the widest possible group of people about what country we live in, that the repression goes for what you say and what you have public activist. In the absence of independent media in the course are simple methods, leaflets, stickers, stencils on the wall, almost all the days of graffiti and hanging banners. But the completion of all was to 2uh pickets at the same time in different parts of the city.

Irkutsk has joined the campaign for the release of Alexey Gaskarova and Maxim Solopova detained on false charges of destruction of the administration city of Khimki Moscow. Today, 19 September from 15 to 16.chasov street Uritskogo Irkutsk anarchists and anti-fascists held a rally under the slogan: "Freedom Khimki hostages!". Also, an action supported by "green" from the organization Baikal movement. On the picket came about 25 people. Protesters handed out 400 leaflets.

Anti-fascist activists held a series of Zaporozhye shares in a campaign of solidarity with rosiyskimi social activists who are harassed, detained and tortured because of their participation in the protection of forests Khimki. All last week the anti-fascists of the "Kozak сіті" distributed leaflets in the streets. At the end of the week, one of the bridges of the city had posted a banner with the slogan "Free the hostages Khimkinskiy!".

July 28, 2010 in front of the administration in the city of Khimki Moscow more than 200 young anti-fascists and anarchists held a spontaneous demonstration in support of Khimki timber, which in those days were cut down for the needs of big business. The action, during which several windows were smashed, received wide public response.

The investigation into the massacre of Khimki Administration is in full swing. Suspects Alex Gaskarov and Maxim Solopov nearly a month in jail Mozhaisk. Parents do not allow us to see Alexei without explanation. "Last time we glimpse as whether Alyosha August 3, the day of the second meeting, - says Irina Gaskarova. - Since we could not get a single interview. During the month we were denied without explanation. Senior investigative team has promised to talk with his superiors.

Today, September 12, Minsk law enforcement agencies began to publish the anarchists detained in the case of throwing Molotov cocktails, the Russian Embassy on August 30. Nevertheless, at least five people are still behind bars, charged them and did not show. Indymedia Belarus leads the list of issued and is still held by the activists.

September 5, 2010 in Izhevsk, held the first of the planned actions in the international campaign of solidarity with the arrested anti-fascists Gaskarova Alexey and Maxim Solopovym, as well as other persecuted advocates of Khimki woods. The rally was organized by activists of Izhevsk "Autonomous Action". It was attended by more than 30 people, among whom were autonomy, the anti-fascists and environmentalists.
